Paradise between lakes and mountains
Verbano
With the majestic Lake Maggiore, which offers some of the most suggestive views of Northern Italy, Verbano fascinates every visitor. Here you will find ancient villages such as Suna, famous places such as Stresa and the splendid Borromean Islands, among which the prestigious Isola Bella stands out, with its imposing palace.
Cusio
Even in this part of the province, the lake captures most of the attention. The small but characteristic Lake Orta, with the unique and legendary island of San Giulio on which the homonymous Basilica was founded. During the summer, the town of Omegna represents one of the centers of nightlife thanks to its magnificent walk along the lake and the numerous initiatives that come to life right in the main square.
Ossola
The mountainous heart of the province, with its picturesque mountains and valleys, offers breathtaking views to its visitors. Domodossola, thanks to its historic station and strategic position, is the reference city center for the inhabitants of the valleys, the hub of all types of activities.
Continuing along the historic Strada del Sempione, you come across the almost fairy-tale Val d'Antigorio with Crodo — a small, little-known village that offers the world one of the most popular drink — and the Val Divedro, with Varzo and the renowned ski resorts of San Domenico.
